Started by DJs Matt Black and Jonathan More, Ninja Tune is one of the best independent labels in the UK for electronic, chillout and alternative hip hop. Based in London but with offices in Montreal and LA, their roster includes acts such as The Cinematic Orchestra, Coldcut and Mr Scruff. One of their upcoming releases is from British producer, musician and DJ Simon Green, also known as Bonobo.
Green is one of the UK’s pioneering downbeat producers, and has been releasing under the moniker of Bonobo since 1999, and is back with a new album ‘Black Sands’, which is released on the 29th March. Early CD pre-orders also come with a limited edition 5” Vinyl, and you can order from www.ninjatune.net. This is the ‘Warrior One’ remix of latest single ‘Eyesdown’, and can be downloaded for free from www.bonobomusic.com, and the single is released tomorrow (8th March).
