The idea with Varsity is to become a national student radio station that would in time service the whole of the UK, bringing a good mix of entertainment, information and music that students would want to hear. The station is being set up by people who graduate in summer 09 and is there for 2 reasons. The first is to get the best of student dj's on the airwaves on a national radio station that would be listened to by their piers. The second is a chance for people who are very recently graduated to have a chance to continue in the industry, as getting a postion working in broadcast radio is very hard and most never make. This is something we aim to change, by giving people an chance they might never have otherwise.
